Advise Please. (SYSOUT-SAPI-LOB)

Hi

I'm thinking of making a "JOBLOG/SYSOUT Handler" using DB2 LOB's
(DB2 for OS390 and Z/os V7)

Reading SYSOUT (Jesmsg,Jesjcl,Sysmsg) from spool using SAPI-pgm calling a Cobol-DB2 pgm that inserts SYSOUT's into DB2 LOB's.

Does this sound crazy, or has anyone else done something similar ?
