Question Are there any issues in DB2 development across different platforms?

Hi,

My application is a J2EE application running on WebLogic Server. The application is supposed to be developed on DB2 Universal Database for Windows Version 8 and it suppose to be deployed on a DB2 Universal Database for iSeries Version 5 Release 2.

Therefore I’m very please to know what are the practical issues of across platform DB2 development, specially on Transaction Management, Language Elements, Authorization and if possible on available JDBC type 4 drivers.

Thank you,
Lahiru Karunatilake

I don't know much about AS/400, but I'm sure that DB2 on AS400 is quiet different from dB2 on Windows .... Though many of the basic features may be the same, I wouldn't persoanlly recommend doing what you plan to do ...
