I have a server named SETEST2. I am going to install DB2 on it, create databases, etc, then load data into the tables.

After that, I will be changing the name of the box from SETEST2 to SEPROD2.

The reason for this is because SEPROD2 is already a valid box on our network. The SETEST2 box is going to replace it.


Will I have any problems with DB2 when I change the name ?

I am running DB2 8.1.4 on AIX 5.1.

Your database and instance will not get affected ... But remember, you may have to recatalog your clients if the ipaddress or dns name changes ..

Not sure about DAS, though
