Question DB2 V8 setup on AIX

I am trying to install ESE on AIX using the ./db2setup command but getting error regarding the display parameter. From the documentation I found that db2setup require x-windows!!!Now, is there any other way to install the software using typical AIX way (without x-windows) and if yes please point me to the process document or if you have created one for yourself, mind sharing!!!

There is a db2install script which does not use x-windows.

use db2_install

You can run an xhost but its a pia, just do run the setup for what you need without the screens.

./db2_install –p DB2.ESE (Full database image)
./db2_install -p DB2.ADMCL (Administration Client for app servers)

Or just run the db2_install and it will ask you which one you want to install.
