I currently have DB2-UDB 8.1.4 (that's fixpack 4) and Net Search Extender 8.1.2. I am running on Windows 2000 server. I have IBM Communication Server 6.1.1 and Sun JRE 1.3.1_11 to satisfy the prerequisites for DB2-UDB. I go through the UDB install, reboot, the net search install, reboot, and then try to run db2text start. When I attempt to run this, I get a dialog saying:

The procedure entry point sqlotoup could not be located in the dynamic link library DB2SYS.dll.

Any help anyone could give me would be greatly appreciated.

I found a solution to my problem. For those of you who might need this, it is not the simplest or best way to do this, I'm sure. Here are the steps I went through:

1. Install DB2-UDB 8.1 Fixpack 4
2. Install NSE 8.1 Fixpack 2
3. Install UDB 8.1 Fixpack 5
4. Install NSE 8.1 Fixpack 4

I think those last two steps could be interchanged, but I do not have the time (or patience) to try it. I am not even sure it is "working". I do know that the db2text start command completed successfully which is a lot further than I have gotten so far.
