ADM11000E DB2 is unable to create or attach to the memory segment

Hello Everybody,

I am facing a problem with DB2 and after making lot of efforts couldn't resolve that one. Please help me out to resolve this problem. Thanks in advance for all the help.

Background info:

I am using DB2 on AIX 5.1.0.0. DB2level is:
DB21085I Instance "igbcust" uses "32" bits and DB2 code release "SQL08012"
with level identifier "02030106".
Informational tokens are "DB2 v8.1.1.16", "s030508", "U486566", and FixPak "2".
Product is installed at "/usr/opt/db2_08_01".

Problem:

Getting error: "SQL1042C An unexpected system error occurred. SQLSTATE=58004."

Everything was fine few days back but all of a sudden (after instance restart), I
started getting above error messages while putting a stored procedure and also at the same time notice error in db2diag.log (see below).

I noticed this type of error when I try to put any stored procedure into that database
or if some application (mostly VB app) queries database to get the parameter info of the stored procedure from the
database. And it is consistent. But I am able to call the existing procedure manually from a command line.

To resolve this problem, as suggested in the db2diag.log, I tried to decrease all the database share memory
parameters (i.e. buffer pools, lock list, database heap, shared sortheap threshold, package cache, and utility heap)
and restarted the instance but no luck :-(

Please help me out in it. Thanks.

Rahul

Since you are on fixpak 2, I would look at the APAR's for later fixpaks, or just install fixpak 5 and see what happens.
