AIX v8.1.2 -

I am having a password problem. I can log into the OS(AIX) with the username/password, however I cant connect to the database with the same username/password. The users are in the database and they have connect privilege. This just started happening out of the blue.

Yes,

I was getting username/password invalide security reason 24.

We resolved the problem. Someone had blanketly changed permissions throughout the users file systems. It couldn't get to some needed security directories.

All is good now.
