Standard C++ Sybase API?

I need a sybase API so I can call some simple commands from C++ (just connect to a sybase server and reset a password). Is there some standard Sybase API for C++? I saw a very robust api for sql,db2,oracle,etc called sqlapi++ but its not open source.

Sybase API to C++

If working in Windows just use the ODBC Sybase interface and open a connection in C++ to the ODBC source using the standard MFC libraries.
