runtime error operation must use an updateable query

Hello,
I'm using VB6 with access97, I wrote an application that write's data into the db, and IT WORKS!!!,
I tried to run it on a different computer that uses access 2000, the installation was succesful, the application runs, but when I try to insert into the DB I get this runtime error:

"runrime error: 2147467259 (80004005)
Operation must use an updateable query"

could the problem be the different versions of access?
I hope to get a solution ASAP.
