Using ODatabase & Ocidatabase to connect to same database

In my application I've used ODatabase class to
open a database connection.

At the same time, I use COciDatabase class connect method to connect to the same database. This is to use by
Ocistatement to execute store procedure & query.

My question is that does it cause double connection to Oracle?
