Are there any delphi components i can get that allow the end user to sort DBGrids????

Try EHGrid by Dmitry Balshakov. It is the best grid there is for Delphi and comes in all versions. Torrys has it (torry.net)

For non DB aware, I use Profgrid.

Both are the best there is. They cost money, but are shareware also.

Try www.maxcomponents.net too. There are many components very good.
