Access restrictions

Hello everyone,

I have a layout based on Table A showing data from Table B as portal rows. For both Table A and B, restrictions are set so that users can view all data but can only modify or delete records that they have created. This is easy so far. Now how can I prevent a user, viewing a record from Table A that he has NOT created, to create a new portal row in table B? In other words (not sure I am being very clear...) : if the current user IS the creator of the current Table A record : he must be allowed to create a new record in Table B through the portal. If he IS NOT the creator, he should NOT be able to create a new record in Table B.

Can anyone help with this?

Thank you for any help!

Catherine
