check with SQL string

Hello again...

I have 2 script in my Filemaker Database the first to insert a record from my DB into a mySQL database, the second to update a record.

Now i want to create a check. If the record already exist in the MySQL database. The Update script must be run if not the insert script must be run.

Does someone know how to implement this?
