Hello,
Im new to informix and trying to configure logical backups using Veritas
netbackup. The full database backup and restore works using Veritas.
But if i use veritas for backing up logical logs i get the error status 6 .When
i checked my onbar logfiles i got the following errors.

2004-06-13 10:52:48 28493 28491 Begin backup logical log 4907.
2004-06-13 10:52:48 28493 28491 Successfully connected to Storage Manager.
2004-06-13 10:52:53 28493 28491 XBSA Error (BSACreateObject): A system error occurred. Aborting XBSA session.
2004-06-13 10:52:58 28493 28491 /usr/informix/bin/onbar_d: process exit 3 (0x03)

Can anybody please suggest me how i should go about trying to solve the
problem.

Hi,

Please check follow:

1_ In ONCONFIG file the LTAPEDEV parameter, NOT to /dev/null.
2_ Depending on Informix version, the command is onbar -l or onbar -b -l.
3_ Permission for HOME user must be 755.
4_ Review script for ALARMPROGRAM.
