When i have some outer joins and other simple joins i get an optimizer error (-874 optimizer error),i found that it is a bug, do anybody knows how fix it?

This could be a bug, what Informix version are you using ?.
If you run update statistics with distributions, i suggest that drop distributions the statistcs on the table and re-run the SQL.
Or not run upd. stat. on columns float type.
