Hi,
I am having Informix running on my HP-UX Server, when I tried to shutdown
using
$onmode -ky
It did'nt do anything and I have to kill both onmode -ky and oninit
processes

Now, When I try to do oninit it fails
What should I do, I dont want to do oninit -i because I will loose my
database..
Please help.

Hi Amit,

Please run onmode -ky as user informix, next test ipcs -m and look the shared memory segments with owner "root" and group "informix". If exist then run ipcrm -m ID number.
If onmode -ky not work, generally some proccess are running. Check this.
