Enterprise Replication -define server-

Hello Guys,

i have problems to define the replication server.

Here the SQLHOSTS entrys:
group_1 group - - i=1
iibm02 onipcshm iibm02.inf.uni-jena.de inf_ids g=group_1

(iibm02:informix) $cdr define server group_1
command failed -- remote/cyclic synchronization not allowed (64)

or

iibm02:informix) $cdr define server -c group_1 -I group_1
command failed -- server not defined in sqlhosts (35)

I want to replicate data from one to another Database on the same System...

Thanks for all help.

Marcus

Hi Marcus,

I think that you must change protocol connection to TCP/IP, not IPC.

Hi,

Can you launch your IDS server? Can you connect to it? The error states that the service doesn't exists... make sure it is in /etc/services and that you can connect to the server via dbaccess.

Hope it helps,

Jose Luis
