I started a thread 6/24 regarding the failure of ontape to complete a level 0 archive. Most of the thread was about setting the correct permissions for ontape. The permissions are 6755 but I still get a failure about 40% through the archive. I'm using LoneTar now but would like to get ontape working again.

Any suggestions are sincerely appreciated.

I think that if you have permission problem with ontape, then this not work.
I think that can be a bug of the version, or problem with size of tape.
Please, take lower size of TAPESIZE < 10% or 15% of total size.
