Ugh. Trying to restore an ontape backup and getting the following error.

I have determined that its not a bad tape set and the tapes are in the correct order. I have also tried another set of tapes just in case! Relevant onconfig settings:

TAPEDEV /dev/rmt0
TAPEBLK 256 # Tape block size (Kbytes)
TAPESIZE 0 # should use entire tape

I think that the block 99542 is damaged

Only manifests if you are doing a restore with ontape using a set of backups createdon a system with TAPESIZE=0.

This is very ugly folks.

What does an "archecker -tdvs" report ?
