I want to install ArcSDE to use Informix as Spatial DB. When I'm in the step where the ArcSde User and password is required I give some value to the password. It comes the error "user sde or password are not correct" or something like this.

The problem is that the previous steps from the ArcSDE installation doesn't create this user "sde". I can create manually this user, but which rights should have this user on the DB?

Hello,

I have detected that the user sde actually exists in the Database where the spatial datablade was registered. But I don't know how to access the database with this user. When I want to create a connection with this user comes the error:

incorrect password or user sde is not know on the database server.

If a write:

select * from sysusers

I get from this system users list the following:

root D 9
sde R 5
public C 5

The user exists there. It is possible to change their password?

Any idea to handle this problem?
