onbar volume creation

Hi,

I am working on INFORMIX XPS 8.32 on HP UX 11.11.

When i try to create a volume using onbar i get the error invalied pool name.
first i created the device as

ism_add -device $name -type file

then

ism_op -label $name -volume ISMDiskData -pool ISMDiskData

once this command is executed it gives an error invalid pool name.

My setting in the onconfig are

ISM_DATA_POOL ISMDiskData
ISM_LOG_POOL ISMDiskLogs

please help me how to solve it.
