I am working on informix XPS 8.32 on HP-UX and i am new to XPS environment. I worked on dynamic server and it is very easy to take a /dev/null backup using ontape there.
The tapedev parameters are not supported in XPS and I did not use onbar bakcup any time. so can any one please tell me how we can do a backup to /dev/null using onbar command.

Hi, this is just a suggestion, unfortunately I do not have the hardware to test this. Try creating a link to /dev/null and point the backup to the link.
Maybe this will fool the system
