Arrow can i install IDS 9.4 other than /opt/informix in linux
i dont have much space in root. i would like to install IDS 9.4 in home. (LINUX)

but installation manual says standard directory for informix on linux is /opt/informix

is it so ?


is there any other way to install in home make working informix

can't you symbolically link /opt/informix to /home/informix?

I'm pretty sure this works

Yes, run rpm with --prefix /new-directory.
