i m using 9.4 IDS, i have 4 databases in my server. hw can i back up perticular data base and its logs.


while restore onbar requires database server should be offline if cold resote.

suppose i have 2 databases already running ,. in order to restore one database
does it require to take 2 databases offline..

Hi Maria,

I have always used ontape tool for backup which doesnot allow database level backup, that is, you cannt take backup of a particular database. It will backup the complete dbspaces.

onbar also follows the same rule, it backs up based on dbspaces not databases. You can backup specific dbspaces or logs.
