Dear Friends,
I am new to informix .
While installing informix on HP -UX , i am getting this error.
see the error messase below here.
INFORMIXDIR=/informix/ids921fc7
Steps :
Login as root
export INFORMIXDIR=/informix/ids921fc7
cd $INFORMIXDIR
tar xvf /informix/inf_bin/4gl.tar
./install4gl

the error is :
etc/install , etc/brand execute permission denied.


please help in this .

are you installing IDS or 4GL??

the script install4gl install the 4gl, you have to run ids_install or installserver.
