I received this error when I added a chunk to a dbspace and I didn't a level 0 backup later. When I tried to have a level 1 backup I received this error.

Change tapedev to /dev/null run ontape -s select 0 Onmonitor select tape change to /dev/null then run ontape -s then select level 0. Runs in 2 seconds then change tape back to your tape drive for next real backup
