What should these values be set to if I want to print an informix report on a laser printer?

The parameters of Informix are independent of any printers.
Before printing initialize the printer with the control characters of the model.

I write a lot of Informix ACE reports to HP lasers and i would suggest that you start with zero for the top, bottom and left. Start with a page length of 44 for landscape and 64 for portrait.

You may have to prefex some of your print statements with a ; to avoid Informix relentlesssly counting every "print" statement towards these totals - if you are also using hpgl formatting commands (that can be placed anyhere you like on a page).

Find the HP guidelines on the web and you will be able to create ACE reports with all the quality formatting and griding of a spreadsheet or word procesing table.
