onbar -b fails with ASSERT: file bar_unix.c line 1261

Hello gurus,

I've just installed Informix 10.0 HC4. Once my applications started on the database, if I issue an onbar -b, I get this error in the bar_act.log:

The core file mentionned at the end of the log is not even created. My platform is HP-UX 11i.

Thanks!

Hi,
Please test if your IDS 10, is correct for HP-UX11i. I think that IDS should be FDx or UDx.

Gustavo.

Don't think so!

Gustavo,

Here is an excerpt of the IBM Informix Web page.

HP-UX is supported on PA-RISC and Itanium. IDS versions shown below are for the most current versions for each code line.

Note: The following codes are used in the tables on this page.

F = 64-bit on any UNIX/Linux platform
H = 32-bit build on any HP PA-RISC 11.x platform; also runs on HP PA-RISC 11.x 64-bit
U = 32-bit on any UNIX/Linux platform

We are running a 32 bit version of IDS on HP-UX 11i.
