I have two query relates with Informix

1)We have two servers having Informix running.When we compare the disk usage in one Server it is having abnormal growth of dbsize.What could be the reason for abnormal growth of dbsize.It is happening for a short period.After some time again dbutilization becomes normal.

2)In one server all dbspace get created in rootdbs instead of datadbs.What could be the reason?

The reason is because the database was created in rootdbs.
You must created a database in other dbspaces running create database xxx in other_dbspace.
