I am currently running Informix 5.10.UC1 on AIX 4.3.3. An intermittant problem occurs while running a back (tbtape -s). Upon running a backup, I recieve a checkpoint waiting --- Fail Consistency Check. As I mentioned, this problem does not happen all the time. Sometimes it will happen several days in a row, and then after running a dbexport/dbimport the problem will subside for a while. Does any one have any ideas as to how to troubleshoot this kind of error??

Run the check on you disks to make sure there are no bad sectors on them.
