Hi, everybody
I am newer here, i have two questions which bother me this days, we use informix 7.3.1 on AIX 4.3.3
1. one day the backup time ( ontape -s -L 0 ) becomes double suddenly, and we didnot change anything in informix and aix configuration, we also try another tape device. Most seriously , it does not work even if we try to remove almost 10% datastorage from database. What's wrong?
2. when we use " ontape -c " to make logical backup today, we get an error with the following message " buc_fe.c : Archive API processing failed at line 465 for msgtype.......This tape containes the following logical logs ...." , is it a critical error ?

Please, check blocking factor of the data units and change value for BLOCKSIZE between 16 and 2048 KB.
