Hi all,

I am starting informix with oninit -s but i am getting this message.

DBSERVERNAME 'pluto' not in sqlhosts file or sqlhosts file contents are damaged

I have checked sqlhosts file and changed the hostname to pluto. Tried again and the message still appears. What other files must i check or why is sqlhosts file is damaged?

what system? Windows? There could be an entry in Registry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE-SOFTWARE-INFORMIX-SQLHOSTS
