anybody knows solution to this?
During the online backup machine crashed. Now informix hangs in recovery mode when started up. Is there any way to avoid transaction log sync at startup? Or to startup informix somehow?

Easiest way is to call Informix tech support, they have utilitys for this. Otherwise it will be a hard nut to crack, not always impossible though.

I did that but informix tech was sceptic about it. I was forced to do full recovery at the end.
