Hi experts,

I intend to run informix backup during working hours as I have to run MRP during the nights.

Can some one give me the steps and advise me what is the best way to do this?

Eg.

Sunday at 10am, i run ontape -s -L 0
Monday to Saturday, should i run ontape -s -L 1

What about transaction logs? How and when should i run backup for trx logs?

It depends on how quickly they fill. :-)

Make sure that you need to back them up before all the logs are FULL
