I have installed Informix v10.00.UC6 on AIX v5.3. There are two databases already running on this machine. While trying to initialize a new database i am getting errors. Here is the output of oninit -v

Am i missing on anything? I am not able to figure out on why this database isnt initializing.

Copy here the last log messages (onstat -m)... will be useful...

check the SERVERNUM on ONCONFIG...

Its very interesting here.

In order to verify if there was any issue with the disk or OS, i installed Informix v9.34UCX1 and initialized this database using this version of informix. Surprisingly, i was able to initialize without any problems.

So, i shutdown the informix datase, changed the $INFORMIXDIR to v10, changed the onconfig file to that of v10 and start the database. Everything went fine with the conversion and now i have a new database on v10.

I wonder why v10 was complaining about sanity of the chunk.

realy... this is very weird...

if you can, send this to IBM Support... sounds like a bug...
