Hi to all informix guru's out there,

I have a text file extracted from an excel spreadsheet application w/c I need to upload to informix database. Is there a way to do this directly, and what do I need? Also, if there is such a process, can this be automated such that it picks up the a standard file from a shared file and uploads it automatically. I'll be right back with the version of the informix database that we are currently using. Thanks for taking time out to provide feedback, appreciate it.

You can configure to access your Informix Database directly from Excel with ODBC. But I don't know if is possible to execute inserts.

If your server is a Linux/Unix OS, with shells scripts you can do this.
