Read access to informix database

Dear Experts!!

I would like to know if it is possible to provide read only access to the informix database lying on a server say x.com for the users to generate reports out of the database. Users should not have write access to the database. Could anyone please help me out in knowing how this can be done if possible..

grant select access to these users.

thanks mabrar.. I am new to the database concepts.. Could you please let me know some place where i could see some useful commands for informix administration.. Would be of so help..
