crystal reports

Has anyone used crystal enterprise V8 to run reports against an informix database on a SUN box? If so, have you had bad response times when running the reports or even timing out? All the ODBC setting are correct as one can ping the backend database from the crystal server. My thoughts are that there is a crystal config setting that can be set to speed up things?

Anyone know?
