somebody can say to me what is the order to install products informix, por example (informix-4gl, IDS, SQL, sdk, jdbc, etc)

I have to install informix-4gl (runtime, developer,c compiler, sql, engine) what is the order

So far I remember :
1) engine
2) runtime
3) developer

I never installed 4gl c compiler...
Read the release notes, I believe there have this information...

Well, but one thing I have sure , if you don't install on correct order , they don't work...
if works , the order you installed is correct...
If don't , just remove the directory and reinstall...

Please, somebody with this experience can tell me the order for install the tools informix. example 4gl, (devoloper, runtime) engine, etc.

The order for 4GL is:
4GL RDS Developer
4GL RDS RT
then SQL and ENGINE

Rule of Thumb

"TEN" -- Tools (4gl, client sdk), $INFORMIXDIR/bin/install4gl
E - Engine ($INFORMIXDIR/bin/installids IDS engine, onconfig.ids, sqlhosts)
N - Network (NETTYPE, /etc/services)

I have to install informix-4gl, informix SQL and IDS, I need know what is the basic tools for compile and run program in 4gl and use informix SQL.

You'll also need a C compiler for c4gl to work (almost all unix systems provide one, but for some reason, AIX requires you to get a licence for it, think it's free)
