Just want to know what should be the size computation of the ff: to get the maximum performance of the DB.

e.g. I have the ff:

ROOTDBS = 200MB
DBSPACE1 (1st DB) = 2GB
LOG FILES = 20 by ???? (what is the ratio, how to compute?)
PHYLOGDBS = ?????, given the above size
PC MEMORY = 4GB

2. I have informix at home (11.5, Fedora 10), Is there any way i can setup a single machine to have my own HDR?
