database without transactions.

Hi Gurus,

I am defining a instance for create a database without transsactions, żit is necessary create dbspaces for physical and logical log?

If there are no transactions, you can leave phylog and logical logs sitting in root dbspace, although it is not recommended. Out of curiosity, what is the purpose of the database if there are no transactions? Is is just for storing archived data?

This is a requiriment the customer, i not understand the reason not use transactions in this database.
