ontape restore
Hi All,
I have ontape backup for the instance. Now I want to restore a specific database from instance level backup(ontape).

Could anyone help me how to restore in db level.

Hi,
First check the parameters TAPEDEV and LTAPEDEV and verify that the backup ready to restore.
Then as user informix and run the instance offline and run ontape -r.

There is no database level restore option with ontape - you need to use onbar for such an operation.
