ANSI compliant databases and Connect permissions

Hi All,

I created a database with log mode ANSI on Informix as the DBA. I then tried to connect to the database as another user, but was unable to. I further granted DBA/connect permissions to this other user (received a 'permission granted' in respose), but was unable to connect to the database as this other user despite this.

Any ideas on what the issue could be? I'm a newbie, and could really use some help!

Are you trying to connect from the same machine that the database server is located on? What errors are you getting?

I appreciate the concern which is been rose. The things need to be sorted out because it is about the individual but it can be with everyone. I like this particular article It gives me an additional input on the information around the world Thanks a lot and keep going with posting such information.
