GUID data type

Hi,
IDS 11.5 does not seem to have no GUID data type compatible with Microsoft Entity Framework. Does anyone know if it exist in the new 11.7 version?

If not, I found this article: Using GUIDs with IDS 9.x
that describes with code how to create a GUID datatype in the database. It works grate. The problem is however that Microsoft Entity Framework (EF) does not recognise it as a valid GUID data type. Is it possible to extend it such that it becomes recognizable by EF?
