migration

We are thinking about a migration of an informix DB (on AIX platform) towards SQL Server 2000 (on W2000 platform). What are the major pitfalls/things to take in consideration.

How about:

Informix was already making databases while people didn't even know about Bill...

you could also:
Check the amount of problems in this forum and than check the amount of problems in the SQL-Server forum...

What version of Informix are you working with?

So that's why you want to migrate...
Why not migrate to IDS 9.30 and have 100 times more (working)features than Microsoft.

Hi
in the past I tried it from Informix 7.31 to SQL 7.0.. It worked with the utilities delivered with the SQL-Server. Had only problem with date-fields.
