You might want to check a few things before migrating...
Are you using ER?
BLOBS?
Big tables?
Logging on/off?
Migrating to same machine or different machine?

The manual describes all the features.
If you use ER, turn off ER before migration.
If you are migrating to a different machine, what's the tool you are going to use?
