Hi guys,

Can any one tell me what is the difference between an SPL function and SPL Procedure. According to the informix documentation SPL function is preferable when returning one or more values. Why is that so. The only difference what I found in writing the procedure or a function is its name,..i.e CREATE syntax rest all is same. Can you pls tell me what is he internal implementation of these.
My application is consititing of 70 procedures which return several values the overall performance of my procedures is not apprecialble..I am trying the increase the performance. Does shifting to functions help me in improving the performance. I am using 9.3 version of informix.
