Ok,
open with regedt32 the registry, first try to find out if sqlhosts exits under hkey-local-machine--software--informix------sqlhosts.
In sqlhosts must be an entry with the name of DBSERVERNAME, and maybe DBSERVERALIASES. DB.. entry are in the onconfig of Informix.
in SQLHOSTS there entries for Host, options, protocol and services. The entry service with a number you find under /win../../services with entry number.

Hi,
the parameter hostname, dbservername ... are in the file onconfig. ... You find the file in the dir /informix/etc/ . In the reg. try to fill in die hostname, option is the name of the Informix DB for exampel ol_xxxx, the protocol could be olsoctcp, Service for exampel turbo. What does the file /winnt/system32/drivers/services looks like? If there isn't any entry with for example turbo create one with the number for example 5002. This number is unique and should not be used by anything else.
