onbar -r -p is very slow

Hi

I am using WIN2K, IDS 3.71 TD1 with ISM.

It take about 2-5 minutes to backup my server (onbar -b -w -L 0), and very fast to do a level 1.
The chunks size is less than 4GB.

the restore (onbar -r -p) takes about 4 hours:
10 minutes the rootdbs, 1.5 hours one of my dbs, and 2.5 another one.

Can anyone give me a clue why it happens, and how I can improve it?

Thanks
Dafna

re

You can tune it in the part of
BAR_MAX_BACKUP : number of database connection out to storage manager
Session to Device setting : setting of storage manager connection session to tape device

if make it balances between session input (from database) and session output (to device) , it will better speed

What's your storage manager ?

I work with the ISM to the local disk
(then I copy the directory with the OS to another place)
