I'm using VERITAS NetBackup4.5 to backup Informix 7.31 on Dynix 4.5. I backup the database from server A using "onbar -b" which configured 4 parallel onbar stream (bar_max_backup=4 in onconfig), and restore to server B using "onbar -r -n 12345". All dbspace can be restored. But when restore logical log, sometimes the restore will success, sometimes restore will fail (from different backup). Before failed, the Informix roll farword some log data but then do nothing (no I/O on the disk), and then after 2 hours the NetBackup timeout.

Anyone have experience on Informix and Onbar could help me? Thanks in advance!

Are there any error messages in the onbar logfile?

Nothing in any log, including bar_act.log, informix instance log, NetBackup logs.
